Brenig Road Race 2013

"The Brenig" has been a regular event in the Rhos-on-Sea CC calendar for the past 24 years, gaining in stature and reputation through its excellent levels of organisation.
Leaving Race HQ, Denbigh Leisure Centre, the race traditionally starts neutralised rolling through the town of Denbigh, before the race begins it's climb up towards Llyn Brenig and Cerrigydrudion. Before descending back towards Denbigh into and through the historic market town of Ruthin and the relative flat of the Clwyd valley, before 3 laps of a 9 mile road circuit to complete the 62mile/100km race. The race field will comprise of up to 90 riders. With prizes for each rider category: Cat 2, Cat 3 and Cat 4. Competitors are drawn from all over the UK for this pure road race, and features a strong local entry ready to face the challenge and gradients this race route provides.
The race will be accompanied by the National Escort Group (NEG) motorcycle outriders, as well as a lead car, official/commissaire cars, race radio, First Aid car and broom wagon.
